A Pleasant Surprise DVD

A Pleasant Surprise is a 16mm surf film by Kyle Pahlow & myself. After shooting for over two years Kyle invited me on board to create graphics and packaging for his film. Over the course of nine months my role grew exponentially, eventually earning me the titles of Creative Director and Co-Producer. What started as a bit of design work transformed into a collaborative effort to edit and share the film with the surf community. Along the way I successfully learned the business of licensing music, created a title sequence for the film, planned and promoted 3 largely successful premieres, and landed the film in the 2009 New York Surf Film Festival Roster.
